FIRST EDITION, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR, ONE OF 200 COPIES, 8vo, single sheet folded, slightly creased


The first of the three rare offprints of contributions by Sassoon to C.K. Ogden's anti-militarist magazine. Inscribed by the author to "J[ames].S[teuart].W[ilson]. June 1916". Wilson served alongside Sassoon during WW1, and was wounded twice. He was an operatic tenor, later taking on senior managerial roles in classical music organisations. No inscribed copies of this work have appeared at auction since 1974.
