Description

A.A. Milne

The Sunny Side. New York: Dutton, 1922

FIRST AMERICAN EDITION, ONE OF 1,500 COPIES, INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR, 8vo, original cloth, lacking dust-jacket

Inscribed by the author to Frederick Harrison—the leaseholder and manager of London's Haymarket Theatre—referring to the theatre, and Milne's association with it. The author served as an officer from 1915, was wounded in 1916, and went on to work in military intelligence until 1919. He was later the author of the "Winnie-the-Pooh" books, and though there are several simple WW1 poems, this book is not listed in Reilly's bibliography.
