Philip Jelley joined Sotheby’s in 1995 and is currently a Senior Vice President in Sotheby’s Valuations & Estate Management department.
Mr Jelley’s experience as a general appraiser has been broadened by his background as an antiques dealer, property solicitor, auctioneer and manager of a high-end reproduction furniture line.
He has lectured on topics such as the art market, the appraisal profession and the auction process to community organisations, university alumni groups and continuing education programs.
Mr Jelley began his association with Sotheby’s in 1980 after receiving his undergraduate degree in Art History from Occidental College.
