Mario Tavella, Chairman of Sotheby’s Europe and Ambassador Alain G. Economides, the chairman of FAI UK (Italian Heritage Trust), invited guests along to New Bond Street earlier this week for an evening celebrating all things Italian. The non-profit foundation was founded in 1975 and since then has saved, restored and opened to the public important artistic heritage sites in Italy. The Hon. James Stourton entertained guests with a lively lecture on ‘Why the English Love Italy’ that provoked plenty of discussion at the drinks reception afterwards.
