Condition

With wide margins, a diagonal line of retouching from the right foot to the left knee of the central figure, minor inconsistencies in the black ink, possibly retouching, the margins with some skilfully repaired tears, some extending into the image slightly, two vertical creases at top edge of sheet extending into image broken through slightly verso (the longest measuring approx. 8cm), the upper and lower right sheet corners reattached, a small loss at upper left sheet corner, other small stains, creases and losses mostly at sheet edges, the verso with tape-staining and associated skinning, remains of glue and pigment, uneven backboard-staining, pale uneven discoloration, other lesser defects, framed.
