Condition
The canvas is original. There is a circa 10cm tear in the head of the central figure, with associated paint loss, as visible in the catalogue illustration. This could benefit from restoration. The picture is otherwise in fairly good condition and there is no visible sign of restoration when inspected under ultra-violet light.
Presented in a floating gilt frame.
