Victory Memorialized: An Imperial Guangxu Period Battle Painting

Important Chinese Art features almost 300 Chinese works of art dating from the Neolithic to Republic periods comprising all major collecting categories, notably early bronzes, Buddhist sculpture, ceramics, imperial porcelain, jades and classical furniture. Highlights include a complete set of the Sutra of Perfect Enlightenment by the Qianlong emperor, a rare and magnificent Tang dynasty limestone figure of a bodhisattva, an important imperial battle painting from the Guangxu period, jades from the collection of The Art Institute of Chicago, and porcelain and works of art from the Collection of Stephen Junkunc, III.
