Sotheby's 7 May 2015 auction of 19th Century European Art achieved a total of $8,485,625, including buyer's premium. Jules Bastien-Lepage's Marchande de fleurs à Londres led the sale with a total price of $1,570,000, more than twice its high estimate. Jean-Léon Gérôme's Marchand ambulant au Caire also performed strongly at $790,000, within its presale estimate.
