Our Israeli & International Art sale brought a total of $4,319,501. The auction was led by Reuven Rubin’s The Milkman from 1928 which sold for $389,000, above its high estimate. Other highlights included Adi Nes’ Untitled photograph of Israeli soldiers at leisure that sold for $377,000 and Jerusalem at Night by Mordecai Ardon, which sold nearly double over the high estimate to achieve $305,000.
Representing a range of 100 years of Israeli art, the sale includes masterpieces from a 1920s Reuven Rubin to iconic works of Contemporary Art including Sigalit Landau’s signature DeadSee video. Also included in the sale are important works by Mordecai Ardon, Ludwig Blum, Samuel Bak, Mané-Katz, Ori Reisman, Michal Rovner, Ohad Meromi and other artists from the younger generation of emerging Israeli Artists.
