Lady Eleanor Vere Boyle (1825–1916) was a Scottish artist and author during the Victorian period, married to Richard Cavendish Boyle, son of the 8th earl of Cork, who later became the chaplain to Queen Victoria. She issued her books under her initials “E.V.B.” to mask her status and position. Her work is very typical of Victorian fantasy pictures, and she is considered one of the leading female illustrators of her time.
