The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is deeper, especially the red which is more crimson in the original work. Moreover, the image does not accurately convey the rich texture of the surface. The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. There are few stabilized cracks scattered throughout the surface, mainly located on the thicker impastos. One very old small tear located by the left edge, has been carefully restored and covered with a patch from the reverse, and is only visible under very close inspection. This work is in very good condition.
