The canvas has not been lined and is securely attached to a keyed wooden stretcher. There is some minor drying craquelure in the dark pigments of the background in the lower left quadrant, as visible in the catalogue illustration, and there are some small spots of paint flaking along the extreme framing edges, covered by the frame. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals an ever layer of residual varnish and no visible sign of restoration. This work is in good condition and is ready to hang. Presented glazed, in a decorative dark frame.
