The photograph is slightly too orange; the mahogany has actually a darker and more elegant tone. Expected scratches, hairline cracks, marks and stains all throughout the surface. The veneer with several shrinkage cracks, especially on the top (slightly bent), the upper drawer, the flap, and on the plinth (losses). The bronze mounts are tarnished (one element broken on the facade needs to be fixed). The lower door could not be opened. Rare and attractive piece of furniture with unusual proportions which would benefit from a global restoration.
