The panel is cradled, flat and stable. The paint surface is relatively clean and the varnish slightly discoloured. The horizontal panel join or split is visible running the width of the panel just below centre along the upper edge of the altar. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals small retouchings in the faces of all the figures, scattered in the altarpiece and altar cloth, in the background upper left, and in the clothing and hands of the figure lower right. There also appears to have been some retouching in the blue of the Virgin's robe. In overall fair condition. Offered in a plain wood frame with a velvet border.
