The Rolex GMT Master 1675 superseded the 1675. It was introduced in 1959 and discontinued in 1980, making it one of the longest running references in Rolex history. The fragile Bakelite bezel was replaced with an aluminium insert and some protective crown guards were added to the case, transitioning the GMT Master into a reliable daily wearer. Naturally, the 1675 gradually evolved during its 21 year life-span and saw various caliber and dial upgrades which make every generation worthy of collecting.
The present two-tone GMT Master 1675 is dated from 1978, making it a last generation watch for this reference. The intricate and nicely preserved and patinated black 'Nipple Dial' imbues the timepiece with a signature vintage look, complemented by the nostalgic two-tone jubilé bracelet, a true testament of the glorious late 1970s.
