Movement: gilt full plate, spring detent escapement with Harrison's maintaining power, free-sprung Pennington 'double L' balance, blued steel helical spring, diamond endstone, fusee and chain, signed Barraud, London, No. 385
Case: plain silver, the outer with Barraud's watch paper, hallmarked London, 1806/7, both with maker's mark TG for Thomas Gooch

Paul Philip Barraud was born in London, December 5th, 1752 of Huguenot lineage. He was admitted to the Clockmakers' Company in 1796 and elected master in 1810 and 1811. He died on the 26th August 1820.

A silver pair cased pocket chronometer by Barraud numbered 386 was in The Celebration of the English Watch Part I at Sotheby's London 15 December 2015, lot 76.
