The movement is in working condition at the time of cataloguing. The date function is working probably. The case and bracelet with extremely minor signs of surface wear, hardly visible with the naked eye. Otherwise it is in excellent condition. Please note that the movement has not been tested for the accuracy of time and may need a service at the buyer's expense. Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement and we do not guarantee the authenticity of any individual component parts since subsequent repairs and restoration work may have resulted in the replacement of original parts. The reference 3900 was in production for a few years from about 1984 to 1989 with a wide range of dial and case variations. To the best of our knowledge more than half of the reference 3900 watches were produced in stainless steel.
