拍品資料及來源

Dumont (1667-1727) left France to take up service in Germany in the Palatinate. The German campaigns in which he took part form the basis of part of the present work, which he augments with accounts of his travels elsewhere in the Balkans. He was created Baron de Carlscroon in 1725 in recognition of his services. The plates include Greek and Turkish dancers, and the audience of the French ambassador Châteauneuf with the Kaimakam.
