  • Twenty-four framed lithographs from "Portraits de grecs et des philhellenes les plus celebres suivis de quelques vues et costumes", Munich, 1828-1831
24 hand-coloured lithographs (380 x 500mm., or the reverse), from the set of 28, colouring possibly later, all mounted, framed and glazed, together with original blue boards, with title on label pasted on uppers, slight foxing, Aegina with a small paper loss upper left corner and a vertical printer's crease through centre, other occasional minor defects but generally in good condition

A RARE SERIES OF PORTRAITS OF GREEK HEROES AND VIEWS. Krazeisen accompanied von Heideck and the Bavarian philhellenes to Greece in 1826 where he served as a junior officer. The portraits are amongst the best-known of the leaders of the War of Independence.
