拍品資料及來源

The service is cited in the inventory of Madame Du Barry's property realized during the French Revolution, the 7 fructidor year II (24 August 1794, Archives of Yvelines, No. IV Q36) in which listed are 106 service plates and 38 soup plates, a single plate missing from 145 delivered in 1771. The service described as fond blanc à guirlandes et petits vases avec la Chiffre DB (white ground with garlands and small vases with the initials DB) was confiscated and sent to the Ministry of the Interior for the Minister Pierre Bénézech's use. It was further mentioned in the Ministry's inventory in 1810 (NA, O2, 474). Ten soup plates from Madame Du Barry's service are in the collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and two others at the Musée de Sèvres.
