comprising: a plain fob seal with circular bloodstone matrix engraved with the arms of Sandys, Baron Sandys, on red ribbon bow; a richly-chased fob seal, bloodstone matrix, the crest and motto of Hill; a small urn-shaped example with bloodstone matrix engraved with the crest of Hill above the initials MEH; a small lobed example with bloodstone matrix engraved with the crest and motto of Hill, on a ring with a larger scroll-handled fob with carnelian matrix, engraved with initials LE; and five other fob seals

Condition

Overall in good order. Some light surface wear throughout, especially on the matrix of the intaglio around the actual portrait; one of the loops of the chain missing, the bloodstone seal on the ribbon with two dents and traces of old glue
