- centerpiece: 39.5cm. high, 44.5cm. wide; 15 1/2 in., 17 1/2 in.; two baskets: 30.5cm. high; 12in.
- circa 1815, Paris or perhaps Limoges
formed of three baskets supported by winged kneeling figures, some damages and repairs
Condition
Overall this garniture is perhaps composite, but the kneeling figures match perfectly. Centerpiece: One wing of kneeling figure has the lower part broken and crudely repaired. Some rubbing to the gilding on the cushions and to the edge of the base. Flanking baskets: one has been fixed with later bolts which have been over-tightened, the basket has been broken in several sections and restored, the other basket has a small section missing from the rim and six cracks through the pierced work which have been repaired. Overall in typical country house condition and in need of some cleaning and restoration.
