the boxwood strung and rosewood crossbanded top supported by a turned columnar stem on arched feet ending in brass cappings and castors

Condition

Please note at some point in this history of the piece the top has undergone alteration and it may be associated to the base. This has been sensitively restored. The top with unusual (but attractive) marks to the grain from polish. An area of inset veneer 18 by 2.5cm approx tone one sort corner. Filler and repair to crossbanding, losses to boxwood stringing. The brass catch to the underside has been moved at some point. The remedial work to this piece has been sensitively done.
