Condition

Of impressive form. Lovely colour. Traces of old worm. Section of filler (approx 43cm. by 3cm) to one long side. Typical old, marks and scratches (some of which are deep) throughout. The underside of the top has indications that it may previously have been deployed in a different historic configuration with evidence of former fixing points and some fillet repairs. Scuffs and some chips to veneers on sledge feet, the sort of wear one would expect. Later square oak pads to feet. The central support of oak and veneered in walnut.
