Condition
The sheet slightly smaller than listed in the catalogue raisonné (F. & S. lists the dimensions as 965 by 965mm), extensive water- and damp-staining and a skinned area at centre of sheet verso, red publisher's stamp faded, some mottling very slightly showing through in the subject's forehead and craquelure in the collar recto, slight cockling, broken creases at upper right corner with further nicks and creases at extreme sheet edges, with some minor pigment loss, adhesive stains at corners verso just showing through recto at lower sheet corners, unframed.
