The canvas is lined and is stable on its stretcher. The painting reads well beneath a clear varnish. There is one faint horizontal crease to the canvas in the sky at upper center of the sky, and one in background at center. The painting has slightly thinned in areas, for example, in the background at center right. There is one small raised repair in architecture at upper left and one small spot in background at lower center. Inspection under UV reveals a varnish that fluoresces unevenly in areas. It also reveals a large yet thin repair in the architecture at left (one line stretches about 12 inches vertically and one line about 6 inches horizontally). There are a few scattered spots of retouching scattered here and there throughout the lower sky, the upper sky left of center, and at extreme edges, likely from old frame abrasion. There are also some small strokes of strengthening in the shadows of the architecture at left. This painting is offered unframed.
