- length 20 in.; 50.8 cm., with later polychrome wood base
Condition
Standard surface abrasions and some chipping throughout. Loss to front of proper left foot. There have been restored breaks and restorations around all sides of the base with the drapery and part of the cushion. Some of the restorations around the edge are loose and the sculpture may benefit from removal of these areas as well as a deep cleaning which should reveal some original polychromy and beautiful modeling. But the main elements of the sculpture itself have not been restored. It has been noted that it may in fact be Italian instead of Netherlandish.
