Four superb examples of London views, drawn by this idiosyncratic artist circa 1663, were recently presented on the London art market, including A view of Westminster from St. James's Park, St. James's Palace from the Park and two views in Hyde Park.1
Other highly comparable drawings of Roman views, among which the present sheet seamlessly fits, are in the collections of the British Museum, London,2 The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York3 and The Morgan Library, New York.4
