Executed on cream laid paper, affixed to the overmount along all four edges of the reverse with tape. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of retouching. There is a tiny repaired tear (approx. 1 cm long) to the right part of the upper edge. There are some lines of craquelure and surface scratches with associated dots of paint losses most predominately to the centre of upper and lower parts of the composition (as visible in the catalogue illustration). There is a diagonal crease (approx. 4 cm long) running across the lower right corner with associated darker pigment. The sheet is light stained. This work is in overall good condition.
