Executed on wove paper, laid down on cardboard. Edges are deckled, with associated nicks and slight abrasion. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of retouching. There are some paper losses consistent with mounting along the extreme edges, notably one to the centre of the right edge. There is a crease (approx. 8 cm long) and a further smaller creases running horizontally to the upper part of the right edge and some scattered flattened creases along the extreme edges, consistent with the laying down process. There are two superficial diagonal scratches to the child's legs. There are some minor remnants of glue to the lower right corner and a fly spot to the child's proper left hip. This work is in overall good condition. "In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
