Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and hinged to the mount along the upper edge in two points with tape. The sheet is undulating and extreme edges are deckled with associated nicks, small tears, light abrasion, mount staining and small paper losses. Examination under UV light reveals a small area of fluorescence in the yellow pigment in the lower right quadrant, which does not appear to be related to any retouching. There are humidity marks inherent to the artistic process, some spots of craquelure and a few superficial surface scratches and some dots of paint losses in places. The sheet is light stained with scattered dots of foxing (which can be reduced by a professional restorer). This work is in overall good condition.
