Condition
The panel is sound. There are some tiny chips and nicks to the extreme edges of the frame. There are some slight scuffs to the images of Marilyn Monroe in the upper register, and also some possible, slight water staining. There is a slight raise to the surface of one of the collaged images of Monroe, in the extreme upper right corner. In raking light an extraordinarily faint horizontal scuff can be seen in the green and red pigment. There is some very slight rubbing to the vertical ends of the blue horizontal bar. There is some very light surface dirt and studio matter. Subject to the above the work appears to be in excellent overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching and highlights the slight rubbing to the blue pigment. The work is held within an integral painted slip frame.
