Condition
The sheet has been fully laid down onto a supportive board. There is a small tear in the sheet in the lower left quadrant. There is a further, tiny hole in the sheet, just above the figure in the upper right quadrant. Both of these are only visible upon close inspection. There are ripples and wrinkles across the surface of the varnish, these are in keeping with the materials and Artist's intentions. There are a small number of very light scuffs to the surface. There is surface dirt, studio matter and other very light detritus. This excepting the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The sheet is held within a simple wooden box frame, which is floated within a simple wooden frame and held behind glass.
