Condition

The sheet is fully laid down onto a backing board, which is, in turn, adhered to the mount along the upper edge. The sheet appears sound. The upper edge has been very slightly unevenly cut or torn. The blue vertical element to the left is very slightly lifted and there is minor rounding to one or two corners of collaged elements but otherwise all elements appear securely adhered. There are two small nicks to the upper right edge, not visible in the present mount. There is a very minor crease to the black in the upper right quadrant, only visible upon close inspection. There are a number of faint scuffs to the black, largely only visible under raking light. There are one or two minor isolated spots of rubbing. There are small flecks of staining in the upper right quadrant and a few small flecks of foxing visible to the white element at the left edge. There is some staining to the extreme edges, possibly due to an old mount, and not visible in the present mount. There is light surface dirt and remnants of glue adhesive visible upon close inspection. This excepting, the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The work is window mounted and held behind glass in a painted wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
