Condition

Unexamined out of frame. The sheet appears to be adhered on to the mount with a number of adhesive tabs at the edges. The edges of the sheet are slightly uneven. The sheet undulates slightly in places. There are some very light creases towards the extreme edges , with one possible repaired tear in the upper right quadrant at the upper edge. There is a faint watermark visible to the sheet in the upper right corner. There is some very light craquelure in some of the thicker areas of black pigment, only visible upon close inspection. The sheet is slightly time stained, particularly around the edges. There is some light surface dirt and studio matter in places. This excepting the work appears to be in very good overall condition. The sheet is float mounted and held behind glass in a simple wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
