Condition
The overall sheet is 10 by 7½in. The sheet is adhered to the mount with two tabs of adhesive tape at the upper right and upper left edges. The left edge is serrated and the upper and lower right edges are rounded, in keeping with a sheaf from a sketchbook, not visible in the present mount. The sheet is creased in places including a vertical crease close to the left edge and a presumed small crease to the cheek. There appear to be two or three spots of paint visible in the present mount. There is time staining to the sheet and staining in line with the current mount. There are a few small flecks of foxing to the sheet, largely not visible in the present mount. There is light surface dirt and a few small instances of detritus and surface matter. This excepting, the work appears in very good overall condition. The work is window mounted and held behind glass in a stained wooden frame.
