In-folio (430 x 327 mm). En feuilles, couverture rempliée, sous chemise et emboîtage. 13 lithographies en couleurs, sur double page. Bel exemplaire aux planches en parfait état, malgré l’absence des feuillets de titre et de justification (portant la signature de l'artiste). Tirage limité à 230 exemplaires, tous sur vélin d'Arches. Cette fameuse illustration d’Ubu Roi avait été évoquée avant la guerre et en mars 1948 un contrat fut signé entre Miró et Tériade, qui stipulait que la maquette resterait la propriété de l'éditeur, Miró recevant un tiers de l'édition. Un premier jeu d'esquisses fut détruit par le peintre en 1954 et après avoir abandonné un temps ce travail, il finit par livrer ces estampes dix ans plus tard.
