Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, laid down on paper. There are some pinholes in places, most predominately along the lower edge. There are repaired tears in the buildings to the left part of the composition, the longest of which is approx. 5 cm long and a few tiny repaired tears to the lower edge. There is a flattened crease (approx. 5 cm long), possibly associated with a repaired tear, in the loggia of the middle building on the right and a few additional flattened creases in places, notably to the upper right corner. There are scattered surface scratches and some superficial paper losses with associated dots of retouching visible under UV light in places. There are some dots of paper skinning, notably in the background and towards the right part of the lower edge. Ink of the signature appears to have faded. The sheet is light stained with some mount staining along the extreme edges. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
