Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and affixed to the overmount with tape at all four corners. Edges are deckled. There are a few pinholes to the centre of the upper edge. The sheet is light stained. There are a few small tears (each approx. 1 cm long) running vertically from the lower edge. Recto: There is some small stains, possibly studio marks, at the upper right corner and towards the kettle on the right part of the composition. There are a few tiny dots of foxing towards the seated woman proper left shoulder. The sheet is slightly light stained. Verso: There is a media mark running horizontally across the upper left quadrant consistent with the medium of the recto. There are spots of discolouration to the sheet, possibly related to previous mounting, and scattered dots of foxing. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
