Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is an uneven varnish preventing UV light from fulling penetrating, however examination under UV light appears to reveal scattered spots and lines of retouching associated with tiny flecks of paint losses, most predominately in the background's architecture and to the lower right quadrant. There are thin webs of craquelure in areas, notably to the child's and mother's hair and to the lower part of the left edge. There is some frame rubbing with associated spots of small dots of paint losses along the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition.
