Condition
The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals a milky varnish preventing the UV light from penetrating, however, there appear to be spots of retouching to the figure’s shoes and eyes. There is a small paint loss to the lower left corner. There is a network of fine lines of craquelure throughout the composition with a few associated paint losses, notably to left of the model’s hip, to the left of the figure’s shoulder and above the model’s head. There is a small pinhole with associated paint loss to the figure’s chest. This work is in overall fairly good condition and may benefit from a light clean.
