The canvas is not lined and examination under UV light reveals no signs of retouching. The canvas is gently undulating. There is a horizontal stretcher bar mark along the upper edge. There are fly spots in places. There is some paint shrinkage to the rusty red pigments, most prominently to the roof of the left most building and to the green and blue pigments in the grass and shrubs along the lower half of the composition. There is evidence of some frame rubbing along the extreme edges. There are some tacking holes along the extreme upper edge, not visible when framed. There is a small puncture and surface scratch with associated paint loss, and a spot of paint loss to the foliage of the tree in the upper left quadrant. There is a minor accretion to the lower right quadrant. This work is in overall good condition.
