The canvas is not lined, and examination under UV light reveals no signs of retouching. There are minor accretions to all four corners and a small pigment loss measuring 1cm. at the left of the lower edge beneath the figure's hand. There are some fine and stable vertical lines of craquelure to the right of the composition, and some fine lines to the chest and arms of the figure. There are small spots of pigment losses in the background to the upper right corner. Overall, this work is in good condition.
