Condition

The panel is sound. Examination under UV light reveals a milky varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating. However, there appear to be no signs of retouching visible. There are a few very fine and entirely stable lines of craquelure to the green pigments of the foliage in the upper right quadrant. There are signs of light frame rubbing to the right part of the lower edge as well as the left part of the upper edge. This work is in overall good condition and might benefit from a light clean. There is some lovely thick impasto.
