Condition

The canvas is lined. Examination under UV light reveals some strokes of retouching to the upper part of the right edge as well as to the left part of the upper edge, which are not visible when framed. There is a spot of retouching to the background in the lower right quadrant as well as some spots of retouching to the flower towards the centre of the left edge. There are some small spots of paint loss and further spots of retouching to the centre of the bouquet. There is a repaired tear to the right of the vase (approx. measuring 3cm). The canvas is slightly undulating in all four corners. There are fine lines of stable craquelure in places, predominantly to the thick impasto of the flowers. This work is in overall good condition and might benefit from a clean.
