This work is in beautiful condition. The canvas is well stretched and has never been removed from its original stretcher. The paint layer is clean and not visibly varnished. Although the paint layer is very thick in some areas, there is no instability. The only retouches are a few small spots in the upper right edge, and a spot in the upper left above the middle finger of the hand. The work should be hung as is.
