Condition
This work has never been removed from its original stretcher. The inscription is clearly visible on the reverse. The paint layer is very heavy and textured. It is clean. It is unvarnished, and any gloss to the paint layer is original to the artist. Although there are some cracks that show in the upper left and upper right, these are not indications of any instability. The paint reads quite strongly under ultraviolet light, but there do not appear to be any retouches. The work should be hung as is.
