the seat rail marked VI with slip seat III, appears to retain a dark rich historic surface.

Condition

In an outstanding state of preservation being all original except for the two interior rear glue blocks. Retaining a fine old finish and patina. Surface wear and light scratches consistent with age and use. There is a 1/2" loss to the proper front right knee return's carved volute and the two outer volutes of the crestrail. The knuckles and claw on each foot are worn, with three claws lost. Secondary wood: White pine Height of seat 17 1/2 in.
