  • 20 1/2 x 14 1/4 in.; 52.1 x 36.2 cm
one depicting a lady in three-quarter view, delicately holding a red and gilt sash in one hand, wearing a blue gown with black trim, the hair swept into an elaborate top knot secured with a floral diadem and gilt hair pin; the other shown seated at a table, holding a fan in one hand, wearing a voluminous blue robe, green jade earrings and hair ornaments, both beneath swagged blue drapery, within possibly original red-lacquered and gilt wood frames with backboards 

Condition

The seated lady with a diagonal across lower left corner, and some pink-ish discoloration above the sitter's proper right eyebrow, and some fine craquelure , and the lady with the red ruyi scepter with some flaking especially to the face. Some of the colors have changed due to age, particularly to the silvers, and reds. There are some dark speckling to the surface along with expected wear and minor losses.Please note not examined out of frame.
