The clasp designed as a lion, pavé-set with round diamonds, accented with round and pear-shaped emeralds, wearable on interchangeable torsade bracelets, one composed of 10 rows of cultured pearls measuring approximately 4.9 to 4.3 mm, the other composed of fluted gold beads, length 5½ inches each, signed David Webb; circa 1965.
Condition
In very good condition, with surface scratches to the mounting commensurate with wear. Clasp stamped 10% Irid Plat and 18K for gold. David Webb signature located on reverse side of clasp. Torsade bracelets are unsigned. The diamonds, stated to weigh a total of 10.43 carats, are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. The emeralds, stated to weigh a total of 2.75 carats, are a medium very slightly bluish green color, strongly saturated, slightly to moderately included, one of the pear-shaped emeralds with a chip visible under close inspection. The cultured pearls are of ivory body color, with good skin and very good luster, with some small blemishes visible under close inspection. the fluted gold beads measuring approximately 3.8 mm. Total gross weight of gold bead torsade bracelet (without clasp) approximately 35 dwts. Accompanied by photocopy of sales receipt from David Webb, dated June 16, 1966, available upon request.
